Merging Policy

👧👦 𝗞𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:

We consider:

1 Age: Aim to keep ages within 1-2 years maximum difference.

2 Weight: Strive for a 1-4kg max difference for younger kids 1-6kg max for older ones. If your child has been moved up a division, rest assured their weight will always be within the safe range

3 Gender: Older kids are usually separated by gender, but younger ones might be mixed

4 Belt: As there is no national standardized belt system yet, this is one of the last factors we consider (but still consider)

🧐Remember, seeing your child merged with different belt colours is okay. Age, weight, and gender are our primary considerations. We try to keep belts within one phase of each other (greys and yellows, yellows and oranges etc. - only if we have to)

👶 𝗝𝗨𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:

If you're registered in a Juvenile division, and you are alone in a division, and we can't find another suitable Juvenile for you to compete with, you'll be placed in an adult division.

We first try to find a match in the KID6 divisions, but you'll likely join an adult bracket.

‼️ Important to remember: if you've ever had a coloured belt as a Juvenile or child, you can't step back to a white belt in the adult's division. Your minimum division will be Blue.

🧑‍🦳🧑‍🦰 𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:

If you've registered for Masters and there's no one in your division, you'll be merged with the mainstream pool.
