Grouping/Bracketing

PRELIMINARY GROUPINGS PROCESS

We have started a process to help ensure as many children get a match as possible.

*

NZ Grappler bracketing staff group all the children that have registered into safe groupings

*

Unfortunately there can be children that are still alone in a division that we have not been able to find a match for them in accordance with our matrix - we now have a new process going forward

*

Once the preliminary groupings are released to the public.

Coaches of children that are alone in a division:

are then able to request their student, (based on their intimate knowledge of the students capabilities), be moved into another division.

NZ Grappler bracketing staff will look at the request submitted and if everyone is happy with the move, the child will be placed in the bracket.

*

Requests are to be received in the template that is provided to you by email.

Please do not email:

**My child does not have a match, can you please find a match.

This does not help and will be ignored.

-

Also requesting that your child be moved into a division, that has no one in it, does not help and will be ignored.

-

We are attempting to put in place a process that helps us get all these kids fights, because they have trained so hard - please help us in doing so by sticking to the process.

-

ADULTS

We merge you in accordance to our merging policy, if you are alone in a grouping when these preliminary groupings are published, chances are there will not be a match for you.

We do not merge adult coloured belts, and we don't move higher than one weight division.
